About

Personal System/55 or PS/55 ("pi : es go-go") is a line of Micro Channel computers once produced and sold by IBM Japan. Some models had a direct equivalent in the PS/2 line, other were designed by IBM Japan and sold mainly or exclusively in Japan.

The main purpose of these pages is to introduce these unique Japanese MCA computers and other associated hardware to the international audience (read - MCA freaks). Big Blue Japan removed all PS/55-related content from their servers long time ago, so this is pretty much the only place where you can find information and support files for these vintage systems.

Most of the content presented here is based on Sandy's and Tom's personal experiences and also on feedback from various members of the (now defunct) MCA Forum @Nifty. Please understand that the pages are provided "as is" and the authors can't be held responsible for any inconvenience or damage that may stem from the use of the contained information and files.
