"The IBM Personal System/2(R) Models 56 SX and 56 LS are three-slot, two-bay Micro Channel (R systems designed to provide a small footprint, low price general business and Local Area Network (LAN) workstation solution. The PS/2 Models 56 SX and 56 LS are positioned between the Model 55 SX/LS and Model 57 SX of the low end Micro Channel (R) systems. The PS/2 Model 56 LS system units (24X) are shipped with all of the standard features of the Model 56 SX with the following exception: no DASD devices are installed in this medialess system, but a 16/4MBbps Token Ring network card with RIPL (24X) occupies one of three slots. The PS/2 Model 56 LS is fully upgradable to the Model 56 SX configurations. "
