RUPTIME(1c,C) AIX TCP/IP User's Guide RUPTIME(1c,C) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ruptime PURPOSE Gives a status line like uptime for each machine on the local network. SYNTAX +--------+ +--------+ ruptime ---| +----+ |---| one of |---| +-| -a |-+ | +----+ | ^| -r || +-| -l |-+ |+----+| | -t | +------+ | -u | +----+ DESCRIPTION The ruptime command gives a status line like uptime for each machine on the local network. These are formed from packets broadcast by each host on the network once a minute. Machines, for which no status report has been received for 11 minutes, are shown as being down. Users idle an hour or more are not counted unless the -a flag is given. Normally, the listing is sorted by host name. FLAGS The ruptime command options are: -a Allows output to be produced on status of users last known to be logged into a machine but idle for an hour or more. -l Specifies sorting by load average. -r Reverses the sort order. -t Specifies sorting by uptime. -u Specifies sorting by number of users.
